Lettuce Seeds Germination to Healthy Seedlings

Lettuce

Lettuce also called green-leaf vegetable easiest to grow in small pots and containers and used in fresh salads and other health purposes.

Step to Sow Lettuce Seeds

1.    Lettuce does not have a particularly deep root system, medium size container have plenty of room is appropriate. I sow seeds in small terracotta clay pot have well drainage holes. You have choice to sow in plastic pots as well as clay pots but plastic works better lettuce growth well in moist soil.
2.    Clean your container before sowing seeds because bacteria and insect egg damage your seeds as well as plants.
3.    Black lettuce seeds are so small better to pour the seeds.
4.    The soil should be thoroughly moist, but not soaked.
5.    Regularly misting the lettuce seeds to keep moist, within 7 to 10 days seeds germinate.

Care:

  • Keep the lettuce cool. Day temperature set at 65 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit (18 to 21 degrees Celsius) is ideal for growth.
  • Lettuce seedlings need 10 to 12 hours of bright light in order to grow full, bushy leaves.
  • Balanced fertilizer of NPK in water solution so becomes healthy seedlings
